Don't you feel like you took the long way? And don't you know that this isn't your day? And can't you see that you have got it coming? Just believe that what you're doing won't be numbing you have got to see that, don't you? Get your coat and grab your hat. You've lots to do today. Brush your teeth and snatch your scarf. Everything about you must change, you've got to make up your heart. Only question left is where do you start? Let me just be upfront. You can be anything that you want. Isn't that what they told you in between the times when they were scolding you have got to be what they said, don't you? Get your coat and grab your hat. You've lots to do today. Brush your teeth and snatch your scarf. Everything about you must change, you've got to make up your heart. Only question left is where do you start?

Can't say what this is supposed to feel like. Winning should be a thrill. But since you packed your bags, I almost always feel ill. Nothing to think. Nothing to do. Not much to feel. Life without you. I hear there's someone for everyone. And I found someone in you. But since you left me stranded, I just don't know what to do. Nothing to think. Nothing to do. Not much to feel. Life without you.

PRE-CHORUS Anyway, anyway, anyway... anyway I can get it. VERSE 1 You say, "take it easy." You see that I'm upset. Life has got me down, I feel like I just lost a million-dollar bet. I can't take this anymore-- the worst times I've had yet. So, when you say, "take it easy," I shrug and say, "I'll take it any way I can get." Repeat PRECHORUS CHORUS (x2) Take it easy, take it slow, take a break and your love might grow. Take a vacation, take that bet. I'll take it anyway I can get. Repeat PRE-CHORUS VERSE 2 You see that I'm wound up so you say, "take it easy." Easy for you to say since your mouth is always so damned breezy. I don't need your lip. I don't need your threat. Take it easy? What the hell? I'll take it anyway I can get. Repeat PRE-CHORUS Repeat CHORUS (x2) BRIDGE (guitar solo) Repeat PRE-CHORUS and CHORUS(x2) as OUTRO

V1 In this world, you and I are strangers who just sat near each other on a train. We will never even speak and not because I’m meek but You are tired of fighting off the weirdos down on Main. And I have lots of empathy for that kind of pain. Even though we should be together. Chorus There’s an alternate reality where I love you and you love me. We have a home on a piece of land and all the friends that we can stand. There’s never war or blistered feet and everyone gets enough to eat. And I love you and you love me in an alternate reality. V2 AR number 146 is ruled with an iron fist by a raving demagogue named Barmus Prime And while living there would not be great there’s always 748 Where you and I have vowed to love each other for all time And that world is completely free of crime. And I know that we should be together. Repeat Chorus Bridge I’m working on a machine To take me to a place Where you and I are together Repeat Chorus Outro Where’s my alternate reality? I’m coming for you. I know there ain’t no such thing as meant to be. But there’s an alternate reality for me.

You knew that everyone in town would talk about you behind your back. So most days you just stay inside working on your chocolate comfort heart attack. The comfort wasn't fast enough so you went out and you bought a gun. You made the only choice left--the choice to be the lucky one. The lucky one will never sit and wait for love that will never come. The lucky one will never never lie awake just wishing they were numb. Some may fear the end will be an end to all the fun, but deep down we all know when you go you are the lucky one. Everyone loves to smile and laugh, you are the life of the party. But something must be missing, you think, when you lie awake at half past three. People think you live the dream when, in fact, your whole world has come undone. So you slip that bag over your head and join the ranks of the lucky ones. The lucky one will never sit and wait for love that will never come. The lucky one will never never lie awake just wishing they were numb. Some may fear the end will be an end to all the fun, but deep down we all know when you go you are the lucky one.

What will we do? They say that fish is good for me. Omega-6, Omega-3. But there's so much plastic floating in the sea, And my favorite meal is filled with mercury. What will we eat when the bees stop turning flowers into food? And where will we play when the last park is a landfill and all that garbage kills our mood? (Are we all screwed?) Some folks don't believe in science, and I really hate to feud, But they'll be just as hungry and as short of breath as me and you, So I'd like to ask them kindly-- What will we do? What will we do? I know that rain is good for me. Splash my face, restore my sanity. But dioxins in the drops are wiping out many species, And acid rain is even killing trees.

I was crazy 'bout you, babe, and I thought you felt the same. I asked you to a movie, but you said that one was lame. We settle on dinner and a walk in the park. By the time our time had finished it was starting to get dark. My car died on the roadside and the skies started to rain. My cracked windshield was pouring on you, but you were too sweet to complain. When we finally got you home your mom screamed that I was late. I never will forget you and our first date. I was mad for you girl, and I know you felt it too. But we were both too young to ever see it through. My car died on the roadside and the skies started to rain. My cracked windshield was pouring on you, but you were too sweet to complain. When we finally got you home your mom screamed that I was late. I never will forget you and our first date.

Mr. J 04:45
Back in my town there was a great man who everybody knew. He taught about history, computers, and life at the local public school. He took an interest in everyone, even those who didn't fit in. And I just hope somehow he knew what we all thought of him. I hope you know the lives you touched and how you helped us find our way. 'Cause you know I speak for thousands and I know it's fair to say, That many of us live good lives now that you helped us to shape. And we love you, And we miss you, Mr. J. One time I wrote a math subroutine for an assignment that he gave, But Mr. J was a history man; math was far from his forté. So he talked to my other teachers to ask for their okay For me to teach his classes my subroutine for the next few days. These days, I'm a teacher, too, working for the FAA. And my students keep the world safe as you all fly on your way. Well sometimes I stop and wonder and sometimes I stop and pray. That I'm half as good as you were, Mr. J.

Spoken: Bow down, and cast your eyes from the Orange King. No man dare look upon the Orange King. Kneel, kiss his ring... the Orange King. 1 All Hail the Orange King What kind of madness will he bring? Will there be peace forevermore? Or will he drag you from our shores? Will the warplanes take to wing As we all hail the Orange King? All hail the Orange King! 2. The Orange King has vowed to keep invaders at arm's length. "Believe me," he says, "they'll cower and crawl from my majestic strength." He says, "just try to stand against me and I'll grab you in your crotch!" But I say, "let me know what happens, I don't have the guts to watch." 3. All hail the Orange Tyrant! So many others were aspirant to keep him from the throne. But he is a master at talk of disaster so their chances were all blown. Now we all hail the Orange Tyrant. All hail the Orange King! 4. The Orange King has promised law and order, one and all. Try not to pay attention as his jackboot crushes your balls. He says, I'll build a wall to keep invaders from our tent. As so many of you wonder, "am I the one he meant?" 5. All hail the Orange God. The populace is shocked and awed! Just know that I'll be doing well, And my brown friends can go to hell! Is that the world we gave our nod? Let us all hail the Orange God. All hail the Orange God! (laughter)

Will you find the time? Can you read my mind? Will you still be around after you find yourself? Can you erase the past? How can you make this last? Will you still be the one after you find yourself? It takes time, it could break your heart. It could be the end of all that's true. It could be the end of me and you. It takes time, it could break your heart. It could be the end of all that's true. It could be the end of me and you. Will you find the time? Can you read my mind? Will you still be around after you find yourself? Will you erase the past? How can you make this last? Will you still be the one after you find yourself?

Momma 03:37
VERSE 1 Momma, your time is through. And no one left in my world could hold a candle next to you. Momma, I remember everything you say. You asked me not to grieve but here I am grieving anyway. Momma, Momma! CHORUS Sometimes it seems that life is so, so long. But with all that you meant to me, one day I blinked and you were gone. Sometimes it seems that life will never end. But now that you're gone I know that you weren't just mom, you were my friend. VERSE 2 Momma, I learned so much from you I'll never forget. But with all the things you taught me you never taught me how to get over this. Momma, I remember everything you say. You asked me not to grieve but here I am grieving anyway. Momma, Momma! REPEAT CHORUS BRIDGE Waves crash Life flies by Time ticks and passes Until all that's left is this bag full of ashes Earth spins Babies cry Just as sure as taxes Now all that's left is this bowl full of ashes REPEAT CHORUS fade out

The cobbler's seen your face before He calls you "that fire-walking whore" But only when you ain't around Or they'll be visiting his burial ground You're an old soul with a new pair of shoes You don't just sing, but live the blues You've earned your stripes the punishing way How many times have you had to pay? You walked through fire and lived to tell Kickin' butt on your stroll through hell A fiery, never-ending stroll A new pair of shoes on your old soul. You've ravaged about a thousand pairs You've cried salty tears of great despair But you rose above it every time A spirit reaching the sublime
